Our Technologies

Decarbontek's vertically integrated platform technologies for carbon capture encompass a suite of advanced solutions designed for efficiency and scalability. These include the lowest cost metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), fibrous MOFs that enhance surface area and mass transport, and structured modular contactors that optimize gas-solid interactions.

Central to this platform is our electrified temperature vacuum swing adsorption (e-TVSA) process, a cutting-edge, energy-efficient method that enables rapid adsorption and desorption cycles, significantly improving carbon capture performance across industrial applications.

Our breakthrough direct air capture technologies harness natural wind flow to move air through our systems, eliminating the need for energy-intensive fans. Using renewable electricity or otherwise wasted heat, we regenerate the adsorbent material efficiently and sustainably.

Structured Adsorbent Contactors

We fabricate our MOF-based adsorption system by shaping the MOF into fibers and employing a computerized winding process to produce structured adsorbents. The structured adsorbents offer the following advantages:

Fast Adsorption Desorption Cycles

Our proprietary fast swing adsorption process completes cycles in as little as one minute, using only a fraction of the energy required by conventional methods. This rapid, energy-efficient approach significantly reduces both CAPEX and OPEX and makes carbon capture not just feasible, but profitable.

Regeneration via Renewable Electricity and Waste Heat

Our proprietary structured adsorbent design enables the use of renewable electricity and waste heat to regenerate CO2-rich cartridges. By harnessing these low-cost energy sources, our process makes carbon capture both environmentally sustainable and economically viable.
